2 stk. a 35X140 cm .

Description Idea: Making superficially signs ”Vanishing vanity”
My project is based on a production of Superficially Objects, during days where the repetition of acts is the basis. The single days only contain small changes concerning the content and places. The days become ritualized.
The project will represent a walk along the coastline where nature quickly wipes out your tracks. Here at ebbtide l`ll write statements and draw signs (like mandala /Kolam paterns) in the wet sand. On each spot where I make my superficial signs,
I shall also make a cairn by arranging the most obvious material for this specific place on the beach, to mark the spot where the tide removes the sign before the cairn fades out and dissapears. I want to walk every day along the beach at ebb-tide.
To decide where to make these signs at the waterfront I will collect stones or seashells (it can be everything the beach can offer) during the walk. The moment when I can't carry any more it is time to settle down to make the signs. In that way the amount and concentration of material is deciding the distance between the individual signs. After drawing the Signs in the wet sand I will arrange a cairn of the collected items to mark the place of the act, showing where the superficial signs of mine have been after the tide has removed the drawings in the sand. Cairns referring to those, made of stones, the wanderers make in the wilderness. I like the idea that nature easily can take over and remove the cairn quite quick.
I like the ritualized everyday doing the same form all over with but changes in the contents its like a kind of sisyphos work.
